To all PIs, and other interested parties:
Next year FL Senate & House *must* pass law restricting access to DMV
and Driver Records, to be in compliance with the Federal Driver Privacy
Protection Act passed in 1994. *If we lobby hard*, PIs may be
exempted.
I strongly urge everyone on this list, in FL or not, to join FALI
(Florida Association of Licensed Investigators) and help get PIs
exempted from the new law. *Our livlihoods depend on it!*
In just 2 1/2 years FALI has grown to be the largest investigators
association in Florida, having a full-time and experienced lobbyist.
Write to FALI, PO Box 12483, Tallahassee, FL 32317, and ask for
membership application. You don't have to be a licensed PI to join.
Affiliates, Specialists, Students, and Corporate Sponssors are welcome.
If *any* of you want to maintain access to Florida records, now is the
time to join our fight!
