This is because they are always "listening" for sound to start recording, so they never really turn off, draining battery power at a rapid rate. This high end digital audio recorder will record for 34 hours on a single set of 2 AAA batteries , even if that takes a couple of weeks or more! Each call will have a time/date stamp and call length. The number of calls recorded will be displayed on the LCD readout as well as total remaining time and battery meter. You can quickly scan from call to call to find a particular call and see the time/date on the LCD display as you scroll. The digital audio recorder also is a great voice recorder, with microphone sensitivity adjustment and internal omni directional microphone.
