The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was released in 1997 as the modern marvel of computers for it's time and it was. The price was $7,499.00 and this was a limited edition machine. It didn't last long and was quickly discontinued. Not many wanted to pay the price. The Anniversary Mac was a show stopper and a show piece that everyone marveled at because of it's design!
