Post Card Pawnbroker Notices From Pinkerton's 1886 The photo on the top and the bottom of this page are pawnbroker and loan officer notices sent out on one cent post cards from Pinkerton's National Detective Agency. These types of notices were very common for the time period. Other than the telegraph, they were the rapid method of sending notices and getting the word out.
