Secret Fold-Up Cylinder Binoculars
, 1880's 1890s
These secret binoculars folded up into a cylinder that might look like
a coin holder or eyeglass case. They were called Optical Binoculars and
made in France. The Binoculars measure approx. 4.5" x 1.3/8th inch
diameter when closed. You can understand how popular they were since they
were covert in nature until you had to use them. Really something and
highly unique for it's time.
