Civil War Brass Spy Magnifying Glass, 1850's

This brass magnifying glass is from the 1850's and likely used during the Civil war. It would have been the type of magnifying glass Allen Pinkerton would have used on maps during his spying of the south. The knob turns to bring objects in closer.
