Digital Spy Pen Spy Camera,
Late 1990's
One of the first subminiature digital spy cameras to hit the market was
called the SpyPen. This was just a few years ago. These were hot although
the resolution was not that great (less than one mega pixel). When they
first came out, they sold before between $195.00 and $295.00. You can
purchase them today for well under $100.00. Other than being rather small
and taking lower res pictures, they didn't do anything else. They did,
however, take fairly good pictures for it's time period in the digital
camera age. This little camera is a good example of how quickly technology
and pricing can change in a very short time.
