Keokuk Horse Of A Different Color
The wild horse of North America, the American Mustang, is descended from thirty Spanish Mustangs brought to the continent by Christopher Columbus in 1493. Escaped, stolen, or released horses began to breed, establish herds, and spread across the West, where today they range in the tens of thousands. Considered a living symbol of the West, mustang herds are protected and managed by the Bureau of Land and Management, and can still be observed roaming freely throughout Nevada, Montana, Wyoming and Oregon. |

They have long since been an extremely popular horse in European and American history, utilized for their bravery and endurance. Today Arabian horses are enjoyed as pleasure, competition and endurance race horses.

The Warrior, Horse Of A Different Color
The Quarter Horse is the quintessential high-bred American horse. Named for its ability to outdistance other horses in races of a quarter mile or less, the Quarter Horse is the mount of choice for cowboys, Native Americans, western pleasure riders, and competitors in any equine sport from rodeo to ranching. The muscular build and compact body of this horse make it well-suited for work requiring speed and maneuverability. Today, the American Quarter Horse is the most popular breed in the world. |

Seminole-Horse Of A Different Color
The Seminole people of Florida are a Native American nation formed in the 18th century, comprised of many native tribes, African slaves and white Europeans. The name "Seminole" is derived from the Spanish word "Cimarron" which means "wild." The unique clothing, rich stories, and independent spirit of the Seminole compliments the history of the American wild horse, also a mix breeds and orgins. The Seminole Horse wears the textiles, jewelry, and the marking of these native peoples and represents their colorful past. |

The Revolutionary Warhorse, Clydesdale
Horse Of A Different Color
In 1776, huge Clydesdale draft horses were used to pull heavy canon, artillery, and supplies to aid in the War for Independence. The gentle giants, with their calm dispositions yet incredible strength, stood fast in the heat of battle, and were there to provide arms and relief to the American soldiers. This majestic Clydesdale wears the uniform of the Continental Army, and is emblazoned with the circular stars of the first American flag, a tribute to its vital role in the American Revolutionary War. Tribal impressions usually sticks with Native American pony art but we feel this one is very special and very stunning!
