
William J. Burns International Detective Agency, Wanted Notice, 1921
Original 1921 wanted poster issued by the William J. Burns Detective Agency,
San Francisco Office. It is for the arrest of J. L. Heberts and P. McMillin,
who borrowed a car from Robert Reh near Fall River Mills, California and
failed to return it. "These men were formerly employed by the Pacific
Gas and Electric Company in Shasta County - on being laid off. They borrowed
the machine and disappeared. We are advised these men answer the description
of the two parties who held up the Lassen Industrial Bank at Fall River
Mills, California, July 26, 1921 - and we are very anxious to locate them."
Heberts is described as "slightly cross-eyed." The auto is described
as a 1916 Chevrolet model #490. This poster measures 8 1/2" x 11".
